Description: Browning Superposed A-2 12 Gauge Over Under Shotgun SUPERLIGHT, DOUBLE TRIGGER, CASE COLOR 99% General Specs: Browning, Year 1975, 12 Gauge, 6lbs 11oz, O/U Serial Number: 32379V74 Here is a Superposed you won't see again for a long time. It is a Browning Superposed, Superlight 12 gauge model A-2 with European market features of double trigger and the "perch belly" style straight stock. This is a Superlight in every way, from the tapered rib, rounded action, and straight stock to the 6lb. 11oz. weight and balanced 1/8" ahead of the hinge pin. The A-1 and A-2 were the same model of "field grade" Superlights with the only difference being the A-2 having a case colored receiver from the factory. This is the only standard, factory original Browning Superposed I have seen with a case colored receiver. This gun, sn32379V74 was actually manufactured in 1975, and hence has no issues with salt wood. What a fantastic, factory original bird or clays gun with 99+% factory original finishes throughout. The Superlight 12 bore is a whole different game when it comes to field carry for hours on end, as it is almost a pound lighter than most Superposed 12 bores. And for those that understand the advantage of two barrels, two chokes, and two triggers this is something you just don't see. Many shooters don't realize that the single selective trigger most often found on the Superposed guns is just not convenient to switch when a rooster just blew up in your face. The double trigger gun will always be the best alternative when wanting to choose open choke or tight choke for your first shot. This is not a "rare" gun, but it is in mint factory condition and a SUPERLIGHT, so it is a good, shootable, collectible, investment quality firearm.
