Description:
REDUCED-This is one of Tar-Hunt's specialized slug guns. This model is based on the Remington Model 870, but then the receiver is threaded for the Tar-Hunt 12ga, 1/28" twist sabot slug barrel to provide rigidity and accuracy. The trigger is worked (or replaced) to improve lock time and pull weight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount, and the barrel is poirted to mitigate recoil and muzzle jump. The metalwork and synthetic stock are then coated. Tar-Hunt guns are tuned at the factory to shoot 1 1/2" groups, usually using Lightfield slugs.
This custom gun is finished in matte black, and is fitted with Leupold 1" mounts. The bolt-action Tar-Hunt guns cost $3,000. Get this fast-action repeater model for considerably less.
