Description:
The NWMP switched from the .455 New Service to the .45 Colt right after WW1. Efforts were made to disband this organization but they merged with the Dominion Police and became the Royal NWMP in 1920 so this is a first year revolver bearing that marking. It is a standard 5 1/2 " blued 45 Colt with rubber grips with RNWMP stamped on back strap. Gun is in excellent condition, especially for one of these marked models as most saw heavy use and holster wear. This one retains at least 90% of the original factory blue turning a bit plum on barrel with a mint bore and action. Grips are mint. Fire blue on back of polished hammer. Most of the fire blue still present on screw heads. Great early gun with condition and history. PENDING
