Description:
Serial #S0030, 7.62mm NATO, 25? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an Ishapore-made, 1967 dated rifle and has retained 97-98% of the armory Suncorite finish on the metal with some very mild flaking and silvering along the exposed edges and bearing surfaces. The matching numbered bolt has a dull pewter gray patina along the body with some mild freckling here and there and some finish loss along the handle. The typically blocky Indian nosecap is also numbered to the gun. The forend, handguards, and buttstock have been nicely refinished to fine condition with only a few scattered, very small handling marks marring the otherwise excellent, slightly glossy varnish finish. A single matching numbered magazine is included which and this is a fine plus Indian SMLE overall. {Ref. ?India's Enfields 4th Edition? by Robert Edwards, 2003} FFL or C&R
