Description:
This is one beautiful early 32-40 special order Model 1894 rifle featuring a 26" round barrel and a button magazine. Serial number 327167 was mfg. in 1905 and has retained most of its beautiful factory original condition over the last 110 years. The left side of the receiver retains about 80% brilliant blue over the entirety of the receiver flats silvering out on front at ridge. Right side has almost all of this blue up to the loading gate. Top and bottom basically smooth gun metal color. The lever has over half the brilliant case colors with traces on hammer as well. The barrel has all the original blue except on top at breech to rear sight and on edges of muzzel. The nose cap has about 75% of its original blue. The wood is superb and never touched, proud to the metal. Of course, the action works like new and locks up tight. Bore lands are strong as new while grooves have hint of frosting. Really fine rifle in wonderful condition, special order and in popular 32-40 round.
