Fellows, I've sold my carbine and this box is the earliest you will ever find. In 1873 only a couple of carbines were made around August with very limited carbine ammunition. In 1874, about 2,000 were made. This is the earliest box you will encounter. It is January 1874 carbine cartridges. It is full and correct in everyway. And if you are one of those fortunates to own an early first model U.S. Carbine then you cannot pass this box up. So think about it - it's as rare as your gun, or rarer as survival rate is low.
