Winchester 1866 Flat Side rifle. Rare Winchester made in 1866. Very low serial number, 14095. All matching. These guns are known as flat sides because the frame is flat where it meets the wood and loading gate is also flat. Only 2500 or so of these guns were made like this and not many survived. This gun also has the Henry barrel markings. Barrel has a brown patina, frame has never been cleaned and has a nice untouched smooth patina. Buttstock was refinished, and is original to the gun. Very good original to the gun. Very good original early 1st model 1866!
