Description:
This is a spectacular Houllier Blanchard muzzleloading shotgun in excellent condition for it's age.  For the Great Exhibition of 1851 W. Greener did an expose on the French guns and had some very nice things to say about the quality of workmanship attributed to this maker and this gun is no exception.  The gun was made in 1842 (marked on barrels) and sports the most incredible damascus tubes that I have ever seen.  The rest of the gun, including the stock and the action, are also high quality and in exception condition for it's age.  There is another Houllier Blanchard currently for sale in England on guntrader for nearly 3000 pounds.  I like this one better, but you be the judge.
