FN made Mauser commercial action sporting rifle in 7X57 with 1953 marked barrel. This rifle has a 22” barrel, perfect bore and it is fitted with a Jaeger trigger, Jaeger quick disconnect side mount scope mount and a 4-cartridge hinged door compartment in the bottom of the stock. It is a right hand bolt rifle with a left hand cheek piece! Because of good dimensions, 13 1/2" LOP and no cast, a right hand shooter can certainly use this gun with no problems. The metal is in 97% condition with the deduction for a few spots on the non-hinged drop floor plate. The wood is 90-92% although all original finish is there the stock shows more than a fair amount of use over the last 50 years..no abuse, just use! The buttplate is very similar (if not the same) as a pre-64 model 70 Winchester checkered metal buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
