Description:
Savage Miodel 1899 Saddle Ring Carbine. These are very scarce in any caliber but much more so in a Winchester Caliber. Winchester 30 WCF - (30-30). Serial # 182xxx (1916 Vintage). Receiver retains all of 85-90% Original High Lustre Blue with some dulling on the bottom from being carried. Both sides have some slight (not deep) scratches. Barrel Blue is 95% Original Blue with some minor pitting just above the front sight on the left side and a small area just above the forend snoble. Traces of Case Color on the Lever while the Steel Carbine Butt-plate retains 95++% Original Blue. Wood is fantastic with high 90's% Original Varnish still remaining. NO REFINISH !!! A few very minor handling marks, nothing major. This is an exceptional SR Carbine. Most of them we encounter look like they were dragged behing a plow, this is an excellent speciman for one of these. Proper sights and a very good bore. Priced Right. FFL or C&R Required. Please excuse the quality of some of the photos . We have yet found a way to cut down the reflection from the Florescent Lighting. Thanks for Looking.
