REMINGTON NEW MODEL ARMY PERCUSSION CIVIL WAR REVOLVER
Remington New Model Army Percussion Civil War Revolver, 44 cal., 6-shot 8” Bbl. Ser #111049. Standard Markings, “Patented Sept 14, 1858/E Remington & Sons Lion New York, USA/ New Model”, has military inspector’s markings on various parts. The bore is shinny with most of rifling and minor corrosion; cylinder chambers are clean. Action works well and locks up very tight when cocked. Metal is very clean lightly patches of corrosion. The metal has been treated with a coating of Teflon or something similar to preserve it and that accounts for why the metal is so clean. This gun would be perfect for someone who wants to shoot an original antique with very fine rifling.
