Description:
This P-08 holster is very similar to one shown on page 77 of "Luger Holsters and Accessories of the 20th Century" by Eugene J. Bender. The book photo shows a separate flap for the magazine which was eliminated as the war wore on. Our example is a wartime production piece with no flap over the magazine. The under flap shows a large black eagle stamped over a circle and Swastika. It is difficult to make out for authenticity as it may have been helped a little. But the Swastika is quite clear and looks correct. This stamp would indicate that this holster belonged to a ranking party leader or another high official. Stamped at top left on the body is "P08.
