Near Mint Sharps Percussion carbine. Excellent condition with all of the original blue and original case colors present. Wood is excellent and the cartouches are perfect! This is a newly discovered variation that will be covered in the upcoming book on Sharps by Roy Marcot. This gun was pictured by Mr. Marcot and may be pictured in the book. This was a Naval issued rifle that was sent back to the arsenal and reissued to the army. This is the reason for the two separated sets of cartouches and the naval plate on the underside of the butt stock. There are also the inspectors mark jag on the sling bar and the barrel. This is a basically mint percussion Sharps carbine; almost unheard of! Great gun in excellent condition and a newly found variation!
