Description:
Scarce Savage Model 20 in 250/3000 Caliber. Early gun serial numbered 12xx. Most likely 1st or 2nd Year production. Gun is out of Arizona and we are sure it spent most of its life there. It has been carried and hunted. Most likely on a horse in a Scabbard. Metal retains 75-80% Original Blue. Light in some areas. Unfortunately my lighting is such that it has no conscience. The great guns look shiney and the somewhat worn ones look the same. Sorry. The wood doesn't seem to have as much wear as the metal. Checkering is sharp, a good share of the original varnish is still present. There are some significant handling marks and some small dings in the checkering, but nothing major. No cracks or chips. The sights are Original and the bore is Very Good. Just a fine old Model 20 in the hard to find caliber of the two offered. FFL or C&R Required. Thanks for looking.
