Description:
This bayonet came from an old New England estate that had several old muskets, however this bayonet didn't fit any of them. It looks like a late 18th century, or early 19th century made piece with a total length of 17 1/4" , and a hammer forged blade of 11 1/4" long. The blade has sharpening marks, good age with surface pits and raised corrosion. The hardwood handle has raised grain and could be European walnut?. the guard is simple brass, and the pommel is also a brass cap.Very colorful item!The widest selection of older guns at great prices, We don’t have a store, and sell on the internet only.
