Japanese Match Lock (Tanegashima) rifle. Barrel is profusely overlaid in silver clouds with two dragons dipping in and out of the clouds. Barrel has key fretwork at the breech and and the flared muzzle has silver ribs. There is a three character gold overlay at the breech end just behind the rear sight. The stock is decorated with brass peonies. There is an old repair in the right side of the stock near the muzzle. Action works perfectly. This is a very striking and well decorated matchlock!
