SOLD.. Real nice Remington O/U Derringer. .41 RF. This is the type three model. This one is also in blue and not nickel as most you will find. The finish shows very good traces of original blueing remaining in the protected areas. The balance is a smooth untouched medium gray brown patina as you can see. Also some bright blue on the barrel to frame screw and the sides and top of the hammer as can be seen in the photos. Both hinges are excellent with NO cracks or repairs. They are also tight as new with NO wobbles. Barrel lock up to frame is also tight as new. Firing pins rotate from top to bottom as suppose to. The bores show strong rifling and then spots of pitting. May scrub up better but still better than most I see in this model. Would still shoot across a card table as was the intended range for these little Derringers. Mechanics are excellent. Positive hammer notches on half and full cock positions. The markings are excellent. S/N matching on barrel and frame 900. Of course these are all batch numbered so no telling when it was made. The grips show a little wear from pocket carrying as normal but still show most all the checkering and NO cracks or chips. Perfect factory fit. This is a very nice little Remington Derringer and has never been cleaned on or messed with. These were very popular with towns people, gamblers and ladies of the night where you needed some sort of protection but could not carry a revolver on your belt in city limits. Priced right.
