Description:
This Winchester was made in 1927. Production started in 1924 total production was 15118 rifles. This rifle has the 22 inch barrel fitted with a Lyman tang sight, Lyman flip rear sight and Lyman front sight. The bore is minty and bright. This gun shows very little shooting. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage. The varnish is fully intact and clean. The bluing on the barrel and forend cap is 99% intact. The reciever has some light spot loss. The reciever would rate 95% original finish. The action is tight and works smoothly. This is one of the nicest condition Model 53's out there. The Model 53 was built on the 1892 frame. This rifle is serial numbered in it's own Model 53 serial group. This is a well balanced and light weight rifle. This is a very well cared for 53. This rifle would grace anyone's collection!
