Fine bore and tight smooth action. The buttstock has a few serious bumps just behind the hammer (see photos) and average bumps and bruises of 140 years of use over the rest of the stock and forestock. Basically it has good wood and has a VERY dimly visible DFC (David F. Clark) inspectors acceptance cartouche in the center of the stock left side, but being barely visible with the naked eye. The metal has scattered light to medium pitting over most of the surface area, markings are mostly visible on the frame but about gone on the barrel due both to the arsenal refinishing whwn converted as well as the many years of saddle wear..
