Description:
#2480 Eli Whitney half-stock single shot percussion fowler, 20 guage (being a reamed out 58 Civil War surplus musket barrel) with a 32” length (30” was standard). Totally reblued and the wood has been lightly refinished as well …..and unfortunately during the refinishing, the address has been totally buffed off. It is basically in workingcondition, but the hammer is sloppy with a lot of “play”, but it does cock and fire. These were low priced lightweight game getting guns made between 1865-69 with the single barrel model being considerably more scarce than its big brother with the side-by-side barrels. The overall “look” is that these were likely meant to be a ladies gun for light loads, or perhaps a young teenager. Great “wall-hanger” at an inexpensive price. Good to Very Good as described. $230
