50th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE EDITION WALNUT CASED SET WITH KNIFE
Offered to you is a Missouri State Highway Patrol Commemorative Firearm and Knife set. The revolver in this set is a Smith & Wesson Model 66-1 chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge. The revolver has been lightly USED.
Smith & Wesson produced these 4 inch Model 66's for the Missouri State Highway Patrol for their 50th anniversary in 1981. This is a great package made by Smith & Wesson to honor the Missouri Highway Patrol. ONLY 900 were manufactured.
This 6-shot POLISHED Stainless Steel Revolver is built on S&W's "K" frame. It is equipped with a 4 inch heavy barrel and smooth wood S&W logo target grips. Additionally, this revolver is equipped with a red ramp front sight and adjustable white outline rear sight. It also features the narrow serrated combat trigger and combat hammer.
Marked on the sideplate is the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 50th anniversary shield. The right side of the barrel is stamped "Missouri State Highway Patrol 50th Anniversary". On the left side of the barrel is stamped "Smith & Wesson" over ".357 Magnum". Lastly the badge number "814" is stamped on the left side of the frame below the cylinder window (these were sold to the Troopers with their badge numbers engraved on it).
Overall this gun is in excellent condition showing little wear to the barrel and frame. PLEASE NOTE: This gun has been fired! The bore is excellent. Includes the original S&W blue box with inserts, screwdriver, cleaning rod, brush & mop. We rate this gun at 98+%.
This commemorative revolver comes with the blue velvet lined, Walnut presentation case and S&W marked fixed blade knife and sheath. The Smith & Wesson knife is their model B-29001.
