Description:
Rare Iver Johnson model 2X made from 1928 to about 1932. This was made in Canada in 1931, as stamped on the top of the reciever. This model has a plain walnut stock. This is an IVER JOHNSON COCKING SAFETY RIFLE, and has the IJ logo stamped on side of the barrel. Has good bluing but splotches of corrosion that has has cold blue applied. This gun has the original sights and an Unusual cocking knob pushes up to lock bolt when it has been cocked, and pushed down when ready to fire. Stock is in good condition with hand checkering in the grip area, but could use a cleaning. Unusual rear sight, I've never seen before. As with all these models when bolt is at rest not cocked it appears to be sitting loose in the receiver, even after changing to different bolts they are all the same.This is a single shot .22lr.
