Here is the type of outfit your Dad would have hit the woods with in 1960 when this gun was new. It is the old school style 99-F Featherweight in the popular .308 Winchester cartridge. It has the real checkering and the checkered steel butt plate. It has the top tang safety with the gold trigger. Barrel is 22". Wood is stunning. Lever has all the case colors. Receiver has 99% of the original factory blue, just a hint of thinning on bottom. Barrel has all the original high polish blue finish. Factory sling swivels. Mint bore and action. It is scoped in vintage all steel top lock Redfield mounts and a perfect vintage Weaver K2.5. An almost 60 year old classic deer rifle. These rifles were factory tapped for scope so there are no extra holes in receiver so it remains factory original as mfg C&R SALES HOLD
