SER# 9xxx, circa mid 1890's. Beautiful and scarce configuration with a clamshell adaptation to a single shot rifle. Tight on face, full oct. nitro proof Bohler steel 9x63R caliber, 23.75" barrel, full length matted rib with integral frt sight ramp, claw mount bases and one stdg rear sight all retaining 98% original blue and perfect bore. 98% coverage finely scroll engraved receiver, with single Kirsten bolt, TL, Greener side safety, DST, cocking indicator, horn TG. This piece is stocked in nicely figured Circ. walnut, very finely checkered, with bullet trap ( w/4 cartridges ) shadow line cheekpiece, full length 2 piece FE, sling swivels, full pistol grip, horn grip cap, FE tip (sm. chip ) and checkered BP. Wood to metal fit is excellent throughout though it appeared that some finish has been added. All screws are perfect and appear unturned, LOP 14". $7995.00
