Description:
An 1858 dated snider conversion with the breech block showing the L.S.A. marking and "Sniders Patent" the Breech is W.D. (War Department) marked and has the crown /X/P marks. The stock roundelle has been removed. The 36 3/4" barrel has a bright bore with areas of frosting. The cleaning rod Jap Tip has been cut off. Overall very good condition with some chips at the stock toe. The hammer face is cupped. Antique.
