Description:
Reduced from $999 to $799. This was your grandfather’s grouse gun. An L.C. Smith Featherweight Field Grade, 12 ga. w/ hard to find 26” barrels choked Imp. Cyl. and Mod. and weighing 6 ¼ lbs. LOP 14 ½”. Serial # 119XXX, built 1928, it’s still in good condition with no cracks in wood and some case hardening left with the handling marks you’d expect after 85 years. There is a small blemish on the barrels that someone re-blued and the period recoil pad was put on a bit sloppy (see photos). But this is an excellent field gun with bright shiny bores and still tight. My daughter’s off to college and I need to liquidate a few of my guns. This is a great gun that just doesn’t get used enough. I did get a pair of pheasant with it last year though.
