Description:
First and foremost, I am not a gun officiando, so please forgive the poor vernacular. I am new to GI, but not to selling on-line (Ebay name Cinci-Antiques if you want to check my feedback).
This listing features a Parker Bros. 12 gauge shotgun. This gun has serial number 6212 and the numbers all match in the 4 most common areas where I can find them. The stock is checkered walnut and is free from any cracks or repairs. The finish on the walnut stock and forestock look to be original. The forestock can be removed easily with the puch of a finger.
The hammers are orignal and have plenty of tension left in the springs. Each is free from any repairs and has ornate engraving. The barrel is a 29 Inch damascus barrel which is original and has not been cut-down. The single site is also origianl. The rib between the two barrels has the company name, Meriden Co.. and Damascus Steele engraved onto it. There is also some ornate engraving which runs just about to the end of the barrel. Overall, a nice early Parker Bros. gun, that no one has fooled with.
There are no dents or dings, and this one has not been re-blued or fooled with. There is one area, pictured, near the end where it is a little rough. Nothing major, but mentioned for accuracy. The inside looks to be in decent condition.
