#154806, Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 in 257 Roberts Made in 1950 that remains in excellent & original condition, 24" barrel, Correct Buckhorn style rear sight, Factory front sight hood, Machined integral front ramp, Standard 3 position safety, Standard Model 70 hinged floorplate, Correct stock without a monte carlo comb, Standard point pattern checkering, Sling eyes, 13 11/16" LOP over the correct factory checkered steel buttplate, 8 lbs. 6 oz., The original barrel blue is 98%, The receiver blue is 98%, The floorplate & trigger guard is 97%, The bolt knob is 95%, The buttplate has 96% blue, The original wood finish at 97%, The checkering is 99%, The bore is as new and looks like it did 64 years ago. This piece had very good guardians and came out of a collection that extends decades. I don't believe this piece ever went hunting.
