Description:
SN 56533 bright excellent bore built in 1946. 26" skeet barrel including the cutts. 14" lop. This piece retains all of the bright original factory blue on the frame. 98% on the barrel and mag tube, with the only loss being caused by the pump movement. The wood shows some added oil finish with some very minor splits at the top tang. This model 42 is in overall excellent plus condition showing little evidence of any serious usage. See page 44-45 of the Winchester model 42 by Ned Schwing. As per page 131 of the aforesaid this skeet gun was built in 1946 . The cutts was first offered by the factory in 1954. Obviously a prior owner had this piece installed or sent back to the factory for the same. An excellent example of a model 42 showing very little usage. FFl or C&R
