Description:
Approx 10,000 mfg at Springfield Armory under license from Remington in 1871-72. "Locking Action" drops to half cock on closing. 36" barrel. Sliding leaf rear sight. Walnut stock & 2 band forend. Forend bands are marked "U", rear band is an appearant replacement with nickel finish. Steel ramrod. Action retains 60% faded case colors. In the white finished bbl is acquiring a brown tarnish. Stocks have good cartouche & original finish showing handling marks & scratches. Bore has good rifling showing spots of light pitting near breech end. Priority mail $35.00
