Savage Model 110 Sporter Rifle - Cal. .243 Win. - 33" Bbl. - SN 121Xx (Late 1950s). - This Savage 110 is in like new condition with absolutely perfect bore and action and 99% original blue and stock finish. Walnut Monte Carlo style stock is undamaged with very attractive sharp and crisp checkering and onlu a very few minor surface marks from normal handling and the alloy buttplate is undamaged with sharp checkering and logo - original swivels. Rifle retains original factory sights and sports a like new period B&L BalVar 8 scope with tapered crosshairs and original B&L mounts - scope is clear with sharp optics. The 110 Sporter was brought out by Savage in 1958 to compete with Winchester's Model 70 FWT and is a rugged and very well made sporter rifle. Sales did not meet expectations and in 1963, after only 5 years in production, this model was dropped. This is an outstanding example of a 1950s Savage when quality was high and comes ready to use with a period high end BalVar scope.
