Description:
Seldom seen Belgium Browning Auto-5 Grade II 16 Gauge with outstanding engraving made in 1929, the year only 10 Auto-5's were made. It has a 27-1/2" barrel, which is a 70 cm and the barrel is choked and measures full. On the side of the barrel it is marked "FULL 16 SPECIAL STEEL" as show on pg 102 of the Browning Auto-5 Shotguns book. It is also marked 16-65, which means 16 gauge with a 65 mm chamber length, which is 2-1/2" shell. These shells are readily available from RST at reasonable prices. The checkering is finer than that found on grade one guns and it is flawlessly executed as is the gorgeous floral engraving. The original FN butt plate is still entact as is the type 2 variation of the safety. Wonderful example of a rare gun.
