Description:
Allen & Wheelock Sidehammer Pocket Model: Made between 1858-1861, Standard sping loaded trigger guard, .34 caliber, 5 inch barrel, complete LIGHT markings on the side of the barrel. The finish is an even grey patina and retains some of the cylinder scene, the entire revolver shows use with scratches, dings, and handling marks throughout.
Serial number 710 on the frame, grips and cylinder. The pistol functions extremely well... times and indexes perfectly. The cylinder rotates when the hammer is cocked and the trigger functions as it should.
Pocket pistols were often purchased by soldiers going off to war or given to them by well-meaning loved ones... A good Complete and Original Second Type Allen & Wheelock Pocket Revolver.
