Description:
S# 702 , no caliber, no barrel. This second year (1896) production rifle features the early flatside action with flared sides at forend, one piece early style lever, early style bolt and trigger, two piece deep well magazine, and first style hammer with double bottom border on checkering pattern. Action shows 50% fading original blue, the magazine is missing lifter spring. Butstock looks great with scattered minor dings and dents. A little extra finish was added long ago. Butplate is grey with staining. Action functions smoothly and all parts appear to be present except lifter spring. A great 3 digit frame for a project. Antique
