Description:
Holland & Holland 12 ga. Hammer Paradox, serialized in the 15XXX range, 28" barrels feature a machined finish extended quarter rib with treble grip. Two folding sights graduated for 50 and 100 yards. Nitro prooved for 1-1/8 oz shot and a 750 grain max bullet. The barrels are inscribed "Paradox Fosbery Patent". The round frame backaction sidelock with fully fine scroll engraving, percussion fences, and "Holland & Holland" on the lockplates. Extended over the comb top strap. Nicely figured French walnut straight hand stock with attractive black graining and figure measures 14-1/2 LOP over a solid Silvers pad. The wood to metal fit is remarkable, no cracks or splits, no shrinkage. Bright bores retain the ratchet style rifling. The action retains 85% case color hardening. Weighs 7 lbs, 7 oz. Housed in a period canvas tropical case with Army Navy label. 1892 production in outstanding condition!
