Description:
JP Sauer Sidelock Drilling in 12 / 12 / 8x57JR. This gun is in excellent overall condition. The engraving is crisp and elegant, the wood has no cracks / splits and is solid. The rifle bore is excellent and the rifle is extremely accurate using Sellier & Bellot factory ammo. The shotgun barrels are choked Cyl / Cyl, and this gun shoots Brenneke slugs pretty accurately as well as it makes a really fine grouse / woodcock gun. Engraved cartridge trap on bottom of butt stock. Claw mounts and rings. Scope not included. A red old english decelerator pad with a black spacer has been added. LOP is 14 3/8". The fore-end was originally a beavertail but has been slimmed to a traditional splinter style but checkering has not been re-added. The gun feels much handier with the slimmer fore-end and balances perfectly as a result. 27" barrels. No rust or pitting inside or out. This is an outstanding example of JP Sauer classic sidelock that remains in excellent condition. I have taken alot of game with this gun. Priced for a quick sale. Best price is $2999 plus shipping.
