Dakota 76 chambered in .257 Roberts. This magnificent Dakota was ordered by a very good friend of mine in 2007. He and I visited the factory in Sturgis and made the selections of engraving, checkering, the wood and the dimensions. From the day he received until his death a few months ago this rifle was only used to "harvest" some very nice deer at his ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills. Engraving: Full scroll hand engraved coverage on the action, floor plate, trigger guard and rings complemented by fine gold wire on the rings, trigger guard, muzzle and barrel helps to make this a one-of-a-kind rifle. Then add a fabulous gold inlaid Mule Deer shoulder mount on the floor plate and the gold wire border and it is truly special. The exhibition grade stock has masterfully checkered panels on the grip and forearm with fleur de lis and a checkered skeleton grip cap. Inletted swivels, 2 panel checkered bolt knob, cheek piece and factory pad round out the guns features. Mounted in the engraved rings is a Swarovski 2-12X50, 30mm tube scope that is perfect for this outfit. 9 lbs. 4 oz. scoped. 13 3/4” LOP over factory 3/8" pad. Condition is 98%. A very, very special Dakota at a fraction of what it would cost today!
