Inv. 5109 Marble's Game Getter First Model (1909). Cal. .44shot/.22LR. Serial #88xx....
Factory records indicate that this gun was shipped January 7th. 1919. to F.H. Rogers of Barnesville, Ohio. Where it obviously did not see much use.. The later owners apparently didn't use it much either........... I acquired it from a collector's estate in upstate NY.
The gun has every option offered by Marble that year.......... It has the extremely scarce tang sight with the large eyepiece....... The retractable receiver sight with locking spring, all intact.
The holster which for being 105 years old is really quite nice....... There is some age crazing, but no rips or torn belts. To top it off the gun comes with an original Marble rear sight filler block to be used if you remove the tang sight. The gun's finish is 99+% original factory blue.
There is some very minor silvering on the very sharp edges. A very slight rub mark from the hammer when placed in the safe position and a pinhead sized flake on the lower barrel.
The hammer assembly, trigger, and stock locking block retain 99+% of the original case color. The nickel plated folding stock, as above is also 99.+% factory original. Both barrels show little if any use. The .44 cal. smooth bore barrel shows no use and the .22LR has sharp and crisp rifling and appears to have had little use. The black Bakelite grips are perfect not chipped or cracked in any way. The gun locks up tight and ll parts function properly.
For the minty collector it just doesn't get any better than this. .....$3595.00
