Description:
This 1989 American Historical Foundation commemorative Renato Gamba shotgun is a limited edition of only 200 pieces and commemorates the French Revolutionary War. The barrels are blue with a coin finish on the remaining parts. The barrel features double ivory beads on the matte solid rib, with the standard one line address on the upper left rear. 3 inch chambers, choked  improved cylinder with ejectors.  gold single trigger and polished coin finish on the remaining parts. The frame and lock plates are engraved with a scroll and floral pattern. In addition the left lock is marked "PRISE DE LA BASTILLE/1L JUILLET 1789" depicting a castle and battle scene and the right lock is marked "LES FEMMES/MARCHANT SUR VERSAILLES" depicting a parade of people. The underside of the frame is marked "4/200" in a banner over "BICENIENAIRE DE LA/REVOLUTION-FRANCAISE" flanked by "1789" and "1989". Below that is a scene of a woman holding up a flag. The trigger guard, lower tang and break lever have the same design with the trigger guard engraved "LIBERTE/EGALITE/FRATERNITE" surrounded by flags, a wreath, eagle and cannon. Tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid "S" and mounted with a deluxe multi-point checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a contrasting checkered bare butt. The shotgun comes in a custom leather hard takedown case with leather corner protectors, hunter green velvet lining and leather Renato Gamba label on the inside of the lid.
