Manufactured 1870. This gun has seen quite a bit of use but is in good overall condition with a lot of Western flair. Receiver has a nice antique patina. There is a couple of initials "A L" lightly scratched in the front portion left hand side of the receiver. Does not detract from the gun. Bbl has a pleasing blue/brown look. On the bbl is some very old period sights, non-adjustable rear and a blade type front. This 66 is center fire. It does have a good to VG bore with strong rifling. Some roughness. The wood has a weathered look but is in overall good condition. It is shy at both upper and lower tangs. Some shrinkage on the buttplate. A crack here and there. There was a sling swivel on the bottom at one time which is no longer there. Forearm is also quite worn and looks good with this gun. A very decent old yellow boy!
