Merkel Model 47E, 12 ga. 3" chambers, Side by Side, Made in Suhl, Germany. This Magnificant Merkel shotgun has the following features: Auto-Ejectors, 28" inch Sold Ribbed Barrels, Greener Crossbolt, Scroll Engraved Case-Colored Receiver, Case Hardened Scalloped-Boxlock Action, Firing Pin Indicators, Double Triggers, Hard buttplate, Splinter forearm, and a Gorgeous Dark-figured Deluxe Hand Checkered Walnut Stock with Fantastic Swirls of grain; a couple of slight carry marks(see photo). It has a set of Briley thin-walled chokes that make it a full range hunting piece; Diffusion, Cylinder, Skeet, Light Modified, Modified and Improved Modified chokes. Weighing approximately 6 1/2 pounds this gun rises nicely and swings smoothly. Pattern on the right barrel is slightly rising for flushing birds and the left barrel shoots slightly flatter. L.O.P is 14", cast off 1/4 inch to the right (for right handed shooters) Drop comb 2" Drop heel 2.5" Beautiful leather carry case and factory green paper box with Matching Numbered Label, Manual, Snap-Caps and paperwork.
