Description:
This GEW Mauser was made in 1894 at SPADAU with a 29 1/2" barrel and good bore , strong rifling, and fine pits in the grooves from using corrosive primers.Has German Imperial markings including proofs on the stock, markings on the receiver, and the bolt. The rear sight has German numbers not Turkish. Missing the loop on the rear sling station.The finish is arsenal blue, and is mostly intact. Has a large S on the receiver not sure what caliber is best to use as there were several types of bullet used in these guns! The European walnut hardwood is very good, with only a few dings, nothing serious.Barrel and receiver numbers match.The mg box matches the receiver. The bolt is not matching however two end pieces on the bolt match the receiver. This is one of the cleanest 88 I've ever had! We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check.
