Very Scarce Merwin Hulbert Blue 3rd Model Double Action 44-40
Made circa 1880, only around 2% of production was made with the rare blue finish. This is a standard 3rd model with closed top, full flutes, hard rubber black grips, Folding hammer and works both single and double action. (works like new, sunction almost closes the gun by itself) Near mint and both single and double action lock up and functions as new. A good solid 40-50% blue original finih with much high luster blue as well. Most case colors on trigger guard and trigger. Great cowboy gun from early 1880's and almost never found in blue finish in such fine condition. This gun has seen very little use, just flaking of finish. Serial #24915 $3995 SALE HOLD
