Description:
After discussing this rifle with knowledgeable collectors who have identified this as a Rifle with a salt cured stock sometimes know as a Browning "Salt Gun" The rifle is being stored disassembled to prevent further damage. I have reduced the price. I am entertaining offers. Beautiful Browning Olympian 300 Win Mag with Leupold 3 x 9 Vari - X II in less than perfect condition there is some rust that can be barely seen unless you take the stock off. This rifle has all the engravings and checkering the Olympian is know for and with imperfection of a little rust which the local gunsmith has mitigated the rifle is being offered at a price reflecting it's less the perfect condition. I have contacted Browning and the historian had no additional information other then to say it must have been built in Belgium because he did not have any records on it. If anyone has additional information they might like to share I would love to hear it. I have included pictures of the rusted area for your information.
