Description:
This interesting bayonet has no oil hole in grip, 2-17 issue date and British inspectors marks with broad arrow on ricasso. Blade has factory edge and shows scattered light stains. Grip area shows 70% blue, fading to brown with a few impact marks, oxidation stains, and wear from use. The wood grip scales show typical marks from long service and remain sound. This comes in a steel and leather scabbard with teardrop frog stud showing traces of green paint on throat. Leather is worn seam remains tight. A very good British bayonet.
