Description:
Here is a German Presentation Gun in 12 gauge made in Suhl in 1949. This gun features outstanding heavy carving of the stock with intricate hunting scenes and delicate inlays on the cheek piece. Full bar action sidelock with double underbite (with one lump protruding through the action) and Greener style third fastener. Arcaded fences with sideclips featuring vines and grapes. The engraving is a attractive combination of acanthus scroll and deeply carved game scenes in a typical Germanic fashion. Scroll engraved barrel bands with a Holland style acanthus incorporating the Krupp Prima Steel Logo on each barrel. Horn forend tip. Horn trigger guard with engraved metal reinforcing. This gun has had very light , if any use. Articulated front trigger. Krupp Prima Steel Barrels are 30" with .722 bores and Full and Full chokes (40/1000). Chambers are 2 3/4". Plugged swivel holes - typical of German Guns. Ejectors. Single front bead. Weight of gun is 7 LBS 2 3/4 OZ. Shipping is $40. Stock dimensions folllow.
