MAUSER MODEL 98 CARBINE, 17 1/2" bbl., SN 87XX, 8 MM, matching except for spoon handle bolt, VG bore, original cleaning rod, rear sight numbered from 4-12, top of receiver marked "Deutsche Waffen-UND, Munitionsfabriken, Berlin, 1905", exc. wood, 90% bbl. blue, receiver is in the white, blue on the floorplate has turned brown, carbine steel buttplate.
