Description:
This single shot Stevens is in .25 rimfire caliber. The 8 " barrel is in octagon to round configuration with serial No. 31052. The barrel, hammer and trigger are blued. The balance is nickel plated. The left frame is marked under the grip "25" (caliber) "8" (barrel length) and "31052" (serial No). The caliber and matching serial no. are also marked on the wedge. The bore grades very good with some light pitting. Over 95% blue and 80% nickel remains. The smooth walnut grips grade fine. This is the earlier version with cast triggerguard, made from 1907 to 1916. Please note that new copies of "Stevens Pistols and Pocket Rifles" by Kenneth L. Cope are now available through our site.
