Description:
Cased Deane, Adams, & Deane Percussion Revolver in 44 Caliber with Accessories. We think this is the first model English Percussion Revolver produced for sale. Blued Finish on Barrel and Receiver with moderate scroll and border engraving on frame, trigger guard, front and rear backstraps. Not sure whether cylindewr was blued or case colored. Very little finish on the cylinder with border engraving. Appears this may have been holstered at one time due to the lack of finish on the cylinder. Gun is very tight, does index well and the bore is fairly bright with good lands and grooves with some spotty pitting. Blue is 50-60% on most areas of frame and much higher on the barrel and inner strap. Grips are nicely checked with no chips or cracks. Pistol grip cap retains 75-80% original blue, nicely engraved with the cap screw engraved and showing a good amount of fire blue. A real nice original piece. Accessories appear to be original but not sure of the flask. It is period but can't tell if it belongs with this set. Cylinder does number to the gun. #10xxx. Antique so no paperwork required to purchase.
