Winchester 1886 Deluxe Engraved .45-90 caliber rifle. Made in 1888. .45-90 caliber and an excellent bore! Very nice condition with 95% blue on the barrel. 35-40% original case colors remain though fading and the remainder has turned to an even silvery gray patina. The wood is excellent and has wonderful figure especially on the left hand side of the butt stock. On the left hand side of the receiver is a monogram that has the initials LFW nicely intertwined. This appears factory although there is no mention in the factory letter. It would be very difficult for an engraver to engrave on a case hardened frame without annealing the receiver and re-case hardening it. These are original case colors so this did not happen. Gorgeous deluxe with hard to find factory engraving in the best caliber!
